Dr. Amadeu Llebaria
Amadeu Llebaria graduated in chemical engineering at Institut Químic de Sarrià (IQS, Barcelona) and in chemistry at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). He obtained a PhD in chemical engineering (IQS) and a PhD in chemistry (University of Barcelona) working on synthetic methods mediated by transition metals. After a postdoctoral period in Germany he obtained a scientist position at CSIC (Spanish National Research Council) where he has developed his scientific career. He has led numerous research projects funded by public and private entities. His interests are related to the design and synthesis of molecules with biological activity. He is now working on different drug development projects in collaboration with biotech and pharmaceutical companies. The current research activities include photopharmacology, immunotherapy and chemical methods for native protein labelling. He has a large experience in multidisciplinary collaborative research at the interface between chemistry, biochemistry and biology and in the development of molecules for biological and therapeutic use.

Dra. Carme Serra
Carme Serra studied Chemistry at the University of Barcelona and obtained her PhD also in this field. She has worked as a researcher in the Medicinal Chemistry Department of a pharmaceutical company, leading several medicinal chemistry projects. She is in charge of the collaboration projects, mainly with pharma and biotech companies, that include custom synthesis, process development, etc.

Dra. Lourdes Muñoz
Lourdes Muñoz graduated in Chemistry at the University of Barcelona and obtained a Master’s degree and later a PhD in Organic Chemistry. She worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Davis-USA. She has also had a number of post-doctoral research positions before joining the MCS. She manages the analytical projects and services.

Dr. Juanlo Catena
Juanlo Catena graduated in Pharmacy at the University of Barcelona and received his PhD in the synthesis of natural products from the same University. After a post-doctoral stay at the University College of London, he worked for several pharmaceutical companies. He has experience in the management of medicinal chemistry projects, process development, regulatory compliance and quality assurance. He manages the synthesis projects and services.
