The Science and Technology Week 2020 takes place between the 14th and 29th of November.
Within the framework of this week, the Institute for Advanced Chemistry of Catalonia (IQAC-CSIC) and Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC) organise the workshop “Las chicas son de Ciencias (CSIC4Girls)”, a project by Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la tecnología (FECYT).
The programme aims at encouraging scientific and technology culture among Primary student girls. Girls from 6 to 12 years old will have the chance to contact with scientific culture and explore and experiment on science and environmental technology. By this initiative, we want to motivate the femenine talent on scientific and technology callings, giving them visibility and spurring them on the confidence of their skills.
The workshops will be carried out by scientists from IQAC/IDAEA-CSIC, who have had the advice of an expert in Design Thinking with the aim of exploiting the creative part of the girls and getting the most out of the activity.
The first day will take place on Sunday, November 29 and will feature two workshops:
– Contaminación atmosférica: ¿sabes lo que hay en el aire que respiras?
– ¿Jugamos con jabón?: Las claves de la tensioactividad
This activity will take place online and with previous registration.
