The Unit of Glycoconjugate Chemistry uses synthetic chemistry tools such as peptide synthesis, carbohydrate chemistry, aromatic electrophilic iodinations and palladium catalyzed cross-coupling reactions to prepare compounds for the study of relevant biochemical and medicinal chemistry issues. Enxyme catalysis and inhibition, immunity, molecular imaging, pain and transthyretin amyloid diseases are the fields of main expertise of the Unit.
