Home Departments Group Department of Biomedicinal Chemistry Synthesis and Biomedical Applications of Peptides

The Unit of Synthesis & Biomedical Applications of Peptides (USiBAP) interests focus on peptide chemistry from three different points of view: design, synthesis and therapeutic value of peptide molecules. The overall objectives of the USiBAP research summed up in the use of synthetic peptides in the field of Biomedicine both in improving diagnosis systems and in the design of new therapeutic targets. More specifically, work is being carried out on the design of immunopeptides, on the use of peptides for the development of new biosensors for the diagnosis of human illnesses and on the selection of therapeutic agents of peptide origin through biophysical testing.
